This goes hard. Great takedown of one of the most intellectually unserious political disciplines. I really enjoyed the usage of that Marx quote for the Luddite criticism. I’m going to save that. Awesome job!

While I agree with the stuff being said, and generally think libertarianism is silly, I think it’s disingenuous to post a big rebuttal calling a work of history “unserious” when the work itself starts with a disclaimer that it is, indeed, unserious and breezy. I’m already inclined to agree with your subject material, but I think for libertarians it’s easy to take your rebuttal unseriously when you’re rebutting a work of entertainment, not rigor.
